candy land

candy land

Rea loves playing the Wii, but sometimes it’s fun to break out the old board games. At age 3, it just doesn’t get any better than candy land. This was her Christmas gift from Emmy. Looks like Emmy did good. :)

watching you watch me

I think Emmy’s trying to figure out why I’m so low to the floor with the camera. I wanted a picture of her feet sticking up, but it didn’t quiet work..maybe next time. :)

That face has “focus” written all over it. She loves her shapes cookie jar that she got for Christmas. She could care less about matching the shapes to the cutouts, but she’s already an expert at dumping out all the pieces and refilling the cookie jar.

Rea loves a good hot chocolate in the evening, but she was little surprised by the whipped cream topping I made to go with it. She was hesitant at first, but it wasn’t long before she was eating it with her fingers between sips. I think she has a new favorite. :)

Emmy loves her laugh and learn pony that she got for Christmas. She can ride, bounce and spin with the best of them. She’s been enjoying riding it so much, we haven’t had a chance to show her that hooks up to the tv. I bet she’ll really like it then. Rea also enjoys taking a quick ride on it now and then. :)

hello, kitty. i’m batman.

Rea has a cute black dress with leapard print trim that she wanted to wear to church this morning.  I accessorized her with a leopard print purse, black poncho with leopard print trim and leopard ear headband.  The headband goes to her Halloween costume a couple years ago.  She was decked out and was one cute kitty.  She got tons of compliments at church, but the funniest part was what she said while walking across the parking lot.  She looked over and caught a glimpse of her shadow.  The ears were perfect little points on top of her head, and the poncho made for a cape.  She laughed and yelled, “I’m Batman!”

Oh how I wish I had my camera.  I could have gotten a great shot of her as the kitty and her Batman shadow.

Wynn and I spent New Years re-doing the gameroom. It’s completely different, and we love it. We still have some finishing touches to do, and I need to go fabric shopping so I can make curtains. This evening we ran to the store to pick up a few groceries before the cold front comes thru tonight. We found the cutest Mickey Mouse bean bag chair for $10. It was the only one they had, and Rea fell in love instantly. As you can see Emmy thinks it’s pretty cool too. :)

so long 2008!

so long 2008!

Wow, what a year! Reagan turned 3, learned how to ride a bike and started pre-school. Emerson had so many firsts: first smile, first word, first step. The list goes on and on for both of them.

Here are the girls saying “good-bye” to 2008 as they head upstairs to bed. Wynn and I can’t wait to see what 2009 will bring.

We’ll see you all next year! :)

So what happens when all the bibs are in the washer? You get to eat without a shirt on. This reminds me of how we would just go ahead and strip Rea down to her diaper on spaghetti night. Those days won’t be too far off…if we can ever get Emmy to stop being such a picky eater. I can’t complain about it too much, because she got it from me. I did find a food yesterday that she liked…honey buns.

mesmerized

mesmerized

To say that Reagan is mesmerized by the Wii Fit is an understatement. This is her staring at the tv, while Wynn made her Mii character. She has brown/red “antennas” (pigtails), glasses and a purple shirt. She’s pretty funny about the purple shirt. She thinks she has to run to her closet and put on an actual purple shirt to match her Mii. :)
